In spite of the competition from his half brother AM Good Oldboy, Al-Marah Horatio has won consistently in both Western Pleasure and even more as a Reining horse. He started off winning the Reining at Scottsdale and was Reserve Champion at the Region 1 Regionals and Top Ten at the Canadian Nationals. The following year he was Region 8 Champion Reining Horse and Region 7 Reserve Champion and again Reserve Canadian National Champion.

In 2000 he was again Top Ten Canadian Nationals and received wins in Trail Horse classes. In 2002 he was Region 8 Top Five Reining Horse and Top Ten at Canadian Nationals and Top Ten at the U.S. Nationals.

He represents some rare bloodlines in the Al-Marah herd as he is the grandson of Ibnindraff of Al-Marah, he by Al-Marah Indraff out of a *Raseyn mare. His tail female goes back to the best of the old Al-Marah breeding and with a cross to the Rissalix son, *Ranix.
